on religion
Rae: Of course religion and science have harmed people, but they have also wonderfully helped people. I believe that people are motivated by different things and sometimes belief in the divine is necessary for moral actions.
Shez: I don't know how much religion has helped people, i believe that faith, hope, and love have helped people and that we hang those things on religion. I think religion can be a great channel for our better desires, but i have to ask is it worth the damage it's caused when those senses exists without it? Our natural moral sense may very well come from the divine, but religion is not the divine. Religion is a response to the thing that I believe separates us from the other creatures on this planet, our burning never ending desire to answer the question "why?"
Rae: I Love your sentence, Our natural moral sense may very well come from the divine, but religion is not the divine. It's brilliant. I think that sums it up very well. I think that when we get away from that is when we have problems.
Shez: Amen

Sale Prices
I have often thought that the “price” of a thing should be high.  That in order to have anything worth while one must struggle. This is something that I know that I’m good at: fighting the good fight to get what I want.  Lately I’ve been contemplating the possibility that it’s the struggling part that keeps us from having the things that we want. Too simple? Probably....

Obsessive Compulsive
I can not control my desire to mess around with the layout of this page.  I need help, obsessing over how it looks is keeping me from actually posting anything, including the quote that I’ve been half quoting for the past year or so.  I will stop, I will stop.
